Morocco

Morocco was a very unique trip. It was one of those countries where I preferred to have an organized tour instead of driving and winging it ourselves. I was glad I found a nice company called On the Go Tours. I really liked their website to visually see the route of the tour, number of days, and activities. They were also great at communication leading up to the trip.

We booked the 8-day tour called Marrakech, Beach & Beyond. The best part was that there was only one other person on the tour (our new friend from Cape Town, South Africa)! So we had a driver, a local guide (excellent by the way), and just the 3 of us in the group.

can’t go to Morocco without getting a Henna tattoo

Some of the fun things we did during this trip were dune buggies in the desert, camel ride and sleepover in the Sahara Desert, temple visits, beach walks, and lots of sightseeing while being driven around the country.

that’s the 3 of us on our desert dune buggy ride

My advice on visiting Morocco is to do a multi-city visit like we did to see differents regions including the vibrant city of Marrakech and the beach coastline in Essaouira.

near Ouarzazate
typical scenes we passed
strange to see camels on the beach in Essaouira
