Welcome to my Blog!

My very first blog post on my new website… how exciting! I wasn’t sure I’d ever see the day that I would finally get a website up and running. It’s not an easy task, but I’m learning lots and enjoying the ride so far. This whole idea has been in the making for almost a year now when I decided to promote my passions to a broader audience!

I have loved traveling for so many years and am a fanatic about taking lots of pictures. Until now, I have only shared my photos and videos on Facebook, Instagram, and my Youtube channel. This was primarily for my own pleasure to have a repository of these trips and a quick online way to refer to my photos. People would appreciate seeing the places I visited and some would tell me that I should write a book about all my travels, sell my photographs, or start a travel consulting business. I listened to them, took their words to heart, and have finally taken action… to turn my hobby into something more concrete!

I plan to add more photos from all the places I’ve traveled and to provide my memories and experience of these locations. As this may take some time to update all 60+ country pages I created, some of them will just say ‘coming soon’ until I finish. Please be patient with me! I am hoping all this info will provide some useful tips and inspire others to take similar trips.

I also want to offer my knowledge and joy of planning trips as a service. Who am I looking to help? My potential customer is anyone who wants to travel the world but doesn’t have the time or desire to do all the leg work for planning a trip. It can be a lot of endless searching on the internet to find the right places at the right prices. Well, that is where I come in because I love to pull it all together and use my knowledge of the destinations to offer you a custom-made unique itinerary for that perfect holiday! I’m very excited about this adventure, thus part of the reason I named my site ‘Jan adventures’. It could be interpreted as ‘Jan’s adventures’ or ‘Jan adventures off to…’. I truly have had many adventures in my life but this business-related endeavor will be a different kind of challenging adventure.

As I started my early retirement about a year ago, I finally have the time and energy to spend on a project like this. I find it so motivating to do something that stems from your true passions. It’s not WORK when it’s FUN, right? So I hope you join me on this journey as I learn and build my very first website! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Just leave a comment below! Thanks!
