My Favorite Scenes in the World
For this post, I want to share with you my favorite scenes in the world. Some places are so beautiful, that you will never forget the vision imprinted in your mind. From the 60+ countries I’ve visited, I have chosen photos of some of my favorite scenes in the world!
I would like to create a gallery wall in my home, showcasing my favorite places and photos. By putting together this blog post, I’m one step closer to starting that project!
Provence, France
I was lucky enough to visit this region of central France in July 2017 for a weekend photography workshop. I had never seen the famous lavender fields that bloom at this time every year. It was a pure delight to be amongst these fragrant flowers and take endless photos.
Halong Bay in Vietnam
I explored many areas of Vietnam in 2014 but the one place that stood out was the area of Halong Bay in the north. We spent a few nights on a boat touring around these many islands. We stopped on one island and hiked up to the top of a mountain where we could get a good view of Halong Bay. I will never forget this scene in Vietnam.

Underwater Statues in Lombok
We did a snorkel trip one day while staying on the Gili islands of Lombok, the neighbor island to Bali. We didn’t see too many exotic fish but we did see the most amazing underwater statue.

Norway Fjords
I have seen a lot of Norway during two different trips there, but my favorite scene in Norway was the Geiranger Fjord. We took an all-day boat cruise through the fjords to see these magnificent mountains and waterfalls all around us.

Santorini, Greece
Santorini has to be one of my favorite places in the world. There are so many wonderful views and scenes from this small island in the Mediterranean. My favorite scene was the perfect sunsets you can see every night.

Dolomites, Italy
In my opinion, the best view of the Dolomite mountains in northern Italy is from the area called St. Magdalena. We drove to this tiny village just to see this special view of the spiked mountains in the distance. It’s important to be there on a clear day at the right time when the sun is highlighting the limestone mountains. It was well worth the detour!

Azores Islands, Portugal
The ‘Azores’ is a paradise of islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The picture that attracted me to go to the Azores was the view of the Sete Cidadas where you can see two crater lakes, one blue and one green.

Tuscany, Italy
I will never forget my short trip to Tuscany to take photos during a weekend workshop. It was amazing. Here are just a couple of my favorite scenes in this pristine area of central Italy.

A photography class in Provence, France?! That’s amazing! I remember loving the beautiful lavender fields when I was there! And I’ve always wanted to go to Santorini. Maybe one day!

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.
One of my favourite places for scenery is on the west coast of the south island of New Zealand at a tiny place called Okarito. There is a wonderful walk trail called the “Trig Walk”. It starts off crossing a wetland & then disappears into the very lush forest. At various points along the trail you get magnificent views of the snow capped mountains on one side & the beautiful blue ocean on the other. When you have reached the end of the trail & have timed it right with the tides you can walk back to Okarito along the beach.
